We are proud to welcome our very own premium spirits distillery; Reefton Distilling Co.

Reefton Distilling Co. is a modern distillery at the forefront of spirit production in New Zealand. The distillery is housed in one of Reefton’s original buildings which has been carefully restored to accommodate a working distillery, tasting bar and retail store.

The Reefton Distilling Co. team are inspired to provide you with a truly unique West Coast experience; as they share the story behind the crafting of their local botanical gins, fruit liqueurs, vodka and whiskies.

The spirits are produced on site using local botanicals and spray-free fruits, with a range including three Little Biddy Gins, Wild Rain Vodka and Reefton Distilling Co. Liqueurs. Also a bourbon-style and single malt whiskey to be produced in 2019, for the avid whiskey fan in your life. Reefton Distilling Co.

Distillery tours and tastings are also available, along with an onsite tasting bar and retail store.

We are closed Christmas Day, New Years Day, ANZAC Day, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Getting Here Reefton is centrally located at the hub of state highway access into the Coast, north from Murchison, Nelson and Blenheim and east from Christchurch.

Our History The town of Reefton was established in 1870 and was immediately a prosperous place. In August 1888, it became the first place in New Zealand to have a public supply of electricity, even before London or New York.
